Welcome to the CIMIx Conference! Below you will find details about the different thematic tracks and sessions for this year’s event:

TRACK 1: CONNECTING THE DOTS
The “Connecting the Dots” track addresses the links between games, film, and sound, as well as the economic characteristics of these industries. Opportunities for growth and development in connection with digitalization and artificial intelligence are increasingly playing a central role, given the increasing high-tech nature of the creative industries. These aspects, along with the necessary framework conditions for a successful production location, will be discussed. The track also incorporates various B2B networking formats.

TRACK 2: CROSSOVER
The CIMIx conference provides a forum for exploring new business opportunities and publishing channels. In the “Crossover” track, cross-industry collaboration is presented in practical terms. Attendees will have the chance to hear from industry experts who have ventured into new formats and have experience with new tools. Likewise, experts will discuss the development of stories and characters in multimedia formats. Last but not least, the various dimensions of artificial intelligence in the creative industries will be discussed.

TRACK 3: POLICY
One year after the introduction of the new incentive model for film production in Austria, the first results and experiences will be presented. This is also an opportunity to discuss further financing models for the film, music, and games industries.

TRACK 4: CREATION, EXPORT & DISTRIBUTION
The “Creation, Export & Distribution” track presents industry-specific practical examples that companies can apply in the development and exploitation of their own projects. In each slot, case studies will be presented, experiences shared, and questions from the audience answered. In addition to individual slots for film, sound, and games, there will also be a joint session on rights and licensing.

TRACK 5: SKILLS
The “Skills” track presents offers for in-house continuing education and skills acquisition, as well as existing support mechanisms for companies in Austria. At the same time, CIMIx offers people in training or those who want to enter the creative industries the opportunity to network with the industry. This happens through a pitching session to discover new talents and presentations of different areas of work in the film, sound, and games industries, followed by job interviews.
